Our project stems from the excitement to produce saffron in the Conca de Barberà region again, as it used to be from medieval times on. Conca de Barberà and Baixa Segarra were major production and trading hubs of saffron up to the early twentieth century, when it was considered one of the best in the world thanks to its aromas and flavours.
We have motivated more than twenty farmers to plant and harvest saffron, the so-called one-day flower, with the passion to make ours the best saffron in CCPAE- and EU-certified organic farming.
The same passion that inspires us to love our land and its products.
What’s more, we are producers of various species of aromatic herbs and condiments, all under certified organic farming practices. We then use the dried plant itself or the essential oils obtained through distillation to make products that enhance traditional and innovative Mediterranean cuisine alike. Products include flavoured oils and vinegars or seasonings with a herbal powder texture.
